Virtual Family Physician

Button Health is a family practice opening at Bay and College in downtown Toronto. While the clinic is being prepared, our virtual service gives patients on our waitlist access to a physician for prescription renewals and straightforward follow-ups by video.

• Prescription renewals and straightforward follow-ups by video
• Short, focused visits with a stated reason for each one
• Directing patients who need in-person care to appropriate in-person options
• Complete, accurate clinical records in the practice EMR

This role does not include a roster, walk-in or urgent care, or front office work.

• Family medicine certification: CCFP (Canada, any province), MRCGP with CCT (UK), ABFM (USA), MICGP (Ireland) or FRACGP (Australia)
• CPSO Certificate of Registration for Independent Practice, or eligibility for one
• Eligible for CMPA coverage

UK, US, Irish and Australian family physicians who obtain CFPC certification without examination can be licensed by the CPSO without Canadian exams. Button Health handles the LMIA and work permit.

Not eligible: Physicians who still need to complete Canadian residency training or supervised practice, PA candidates, medical students.

Physicians interested in in-person practice at Bay and College once the clinic opens are welcome to raise it. It is optional.
