About Button Health

Erik Bos is the Director of Button Health, a modern primary care practice opening at Bay and College in downtown Toronto. The practice will offer comprehensive, community-focused family medicine, supported by dedicated clinical administration and advanced health infrastructure. Erik is personally overseeing the build, including clinic site selection, IPAC compliance, operational workflow pattern modeling, systems and staffing.

Over more than 25 years, Erik has built and operated companies in pharmaceuticals, enterprise technology and investment management. His work has centred on improving organizational performance and restructuring operations. He started in the international pharmaceutical sector in the late 1990s, brokering active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished pharmaceuticals to U.S. manufacturers and research and development groups. He later moved into industrial chemical manufacturing and held roles as a public-company CEO and vice-president of a European investment firm, developing operating companies across several industries and countries.

For the past decade, Erik has brought that experience to healthcare consulting and practice management. He has led operational turnarounds at underperforming clinical practices, developed proprietary supply chains for healthcare products and advised multi-clinic healthcare groups as they expanded three fold in Toronto.

His expertise spans healthcare governance, regulatory compliance, privacy compliance under PHIPA and PIPEDA, enterprise IT architecture and commercial practice operations. He previously owned an IT managed service provider whose clients included a school district, bringing experience with the security, reliability and operational demands of complex institutional IT environments. At Button Health, he is responsible for facility development, practice systems and operational infrastructure, creating a professionally managed environment in which independent physicians can practise medicine. He places particular emphasis on resilient operations, efficient clinical workflows and sustainable clinic models.

In spring 2026, Erik built Lisenr, an ambient clinical documentation system designed to examine the reliability of AI scribes. The project focused on context drift, clinically significant omissions, overconfident synthesis and failures to distinguish between speakers.

Ambient scribes can reduce the burden of documentation, but the notes they produce can also carry omissions, hallucinations, substitutions and incorrectly attributed statements into the legal medical record. Once signed, those notes inform subsequent care, coding and liability. Erik’s work examines where these systems expose physicians to errors that are difficult to detect or review, treating those risks as a more meaningful measure of safety than how fluent the average note sounds.
